Michele\u00a0Hibbert\u00a0is currently appointed as Executive Director for the British Virgin Islands overseeing day-to-day operations, providing advice to the board on industry and regulatory developments as well as general corporate matters. She actively\u00a0engages and maintains relationships with all key groups, agencies, and organizations, acting as the liaison between the company, regulators, government authorities, as well as fellow colleagues. Michele\u00a0is also responsible for developing AML\/CFT risk-based strategies ensuring that regulatory requirements are met for operations in the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and Anguilla.<\/p>

Michele has long and comprehensive experience in the corporate and financial market.\u00a0Prior to joining PMA, Michele was head of several in-house legal\u00a0teams\u00a0for leading multinational companies, developing and restructuring resources\u00a0to achieve more cost-efficient\u00a0internal legal services.\u00a0 She\u00a0was involved in high level\u00a0projects, including the\u00a0negotiation for the interconnection of telecommunications and networks expansion agreements in Panama, the acquisition of two leading gaming companies, and the execution of the building material supply agreement for the construction of Panama\u2019s Metro System Line 1\u00a0and the\u00a0Panama Canal Third Set of Locks Expansion Project.<\/p>

Michele qualified as a Panamanian lawyer in 2002, receiving her bachelor degree in Law and Political Science and LLM in Corporate Law with honors from Universidad Catolica Santa Maria La Antigua.\u00a0 Additional studies include: Master in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de Panam\u00e1, Master in Tax Law from Universidad Especializada de Contadores P\u00fablicos Autorizados, Master in Administration and Business Direction, EGADE Business School- Tecnol\u00f3gico De Monterrey. \u00a0Also, further specialization through the Executive Management Program from YALE University School of Management.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
